What to Expect

A gentle pause from the pace of everyday life. The Wybalena Organic Farm Retreat in the Byron Bay Hinterland is designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and return to yourself. This isn’t your ordinary retreat, it’s one where your nervous system exhales, your body remembers its own intelligence, and your mind no longer needs to be in charge of everything. Byron Bay is a place where horizons widen, breath deepens, and the body starts to listen again.

Through Vedic Meditation, rounding, and breathwork, this 4-night, 5-day retreat will guide you into layers of rest and release that most people never access in daily life. These practices work together to clear accumulated stress, stabilize the nervous system, and reconnect you with a quiet, grounded sense of inner stability.

This is not about pushing for breakthroughs. It is about allowing the system to unwind until clarity emerges on its own. Each day becomes a gentle sequence of settling, opening, and integrating. Thoughts lose their grip. The body softens. Awareness expands without effort. From that place, insight arrives naturally, and direction feels obvious rather than forced.

This is not simply time away.

It is a way of being that feels sustainable, embodied, and true. You do not have to search for it. You only have to arrive.

❋ Vedic Meditation

If you haven’t yet learned, you’ll receive clear, structured instruction in Vedic Meditation so you can build a practice that supports you long after the retreat ends.

❋ Rounding

Rounding brings together gentle yoga postures, breathwork, and Vedic Meditation in a specific flow that helps the body release stored stress, calm the nervous system, and guide you into quieter, more expansive states.

❋ Breathwork

Breathwork creates a supported space to meet whatever is present, helping you move through emotional patterns, release what the body has been holding, and reconnect with clarity, and ease.

❋ Self-Love Coaching with Jo & George

1:1 Self-Love Coaching with Jo and George offers a supportive, honest space to meet your patterns with compassion, untangle self-abandonment and self-sabotage, and build a grounded relationship with yourself rooted in worth, and choice.

Reconnect with your body and mind as you escape the noise of everyday life.

This private and quiet location makes the farm an ideal place for bringing community together, with exclusive access to the entire property and unlimited use of all wellness facilities during your stay. The Main House

The main house is a large, architecturally designed home with a modern farm-style aesthetic and a warm, cosy feel. It features a fully stocked caterer’s kitchen, a beautiful 22-seat timber dining table, and a comfortable lounge with an open fireplace and a bean bag area for relaxing. Reverse-cycle air conditioning and fans provide comfort throughout the house. Down the hallway are four bedrooms, including two king rooms with ensuites, one of which includes a luxurious bath and walk-in wardrobe, as well as two double rooms that share a bathroom. The house also includes a small treatment room with a massage table. Large glass windows capture stunning country views, and wrap-around verandas lead out to the magnesium pool, infrared sauna, ice bath, and outdoor firepit.

The Garden Rooms

As shown in the picture, the Garden Rooms are located in a separate building just a short walk from the Main House and offer a quiet, self-contained retreat for guests who value privacy. The building includes four identical bedrooms, each surrounded by lush gardens and featuring its own private entrance, a double bed, and a farmhouse-style ensuite. Each room is fitted with reverse-cycle air conditioning and a ceiling fan for comfort, and all rooms open onto a shared deck where guests can relax and enjoy the sunshine and fresh country air.

The Gumnut Cabins

Cabins 1, 2, and 3 share the same thoughtfully designed layout, each featuring two bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, one with a queen bed and the other with a double bed. The cabins include a modern shared bathroom, a comfortable living area with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table, and a private deck overlooking the country views. Reverse-cycle air conditioning is provided in the main living spaces, with pedestal fans in the bedrooms for added comfort. These cabins are ideal for guests who wish to share with a friend, prepare their own meals to meet dietary needs, or enjoy added privacy away from the Main House. Cabin 3 is custom built for disabled access.

Cabin 4 offers a flexible and private accommodation option with one bedroom that can be configured as a king bed or split into two single beds. The cabin includes a built-in wardrobe, bathroom, comfortable living area with a kitchen, dining table, and a deck with country views. Reverse-cycle air conditioning is provided in the living space, along with a ceiling fan in the bedroom for comfort. Located furthest from the main areas, this cabin is often selected as host accommodation, offering additional privacy, space for one-on-one sessions in the lounge, and the option to share the cabin with a partner or co-host thanks to the adaptable bed configuration.

The Banksia Rooms

the Banksia Rooms are located in their own building just a few steps from the Main House. The building includes three twin-share bedrooms arranged along a central hallway, with two modern farmhouse-style bathrooms positioned at either end. Each room is fitted with reverse-cycle air conditioning and ceiling fans, and divider screens are available for added privacy between beds. The three bedrooms include: Room A, a twin-share with two double beds; Room B, a twin-share with two double beds; and Room C, a twin-share with two single beds.
